Oyo Govt. Has Expended N2.7b on COVID-19 – Finance Commissioner

Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Akinola Ojo has revealed that a total of N2.7 billion has been expended in the fight against COVID-19.

This was made known to the public at a press briefing by the Commissioner shortly after the State Executive Council meeting on Tuesday.

According to the Akinola, the state had received a sum of N1.177 billion in donations to support its fight against coronavirus.

He noted that the N2.7 billion is the total amount the state had expense in the fight against the virus since the 20th of March when the first index case was confirmed.
