Oyo Commissioner for Youth, Seun Fakorede Broker Peace with Warring Communities in Ibadan

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo state, Seun Fakorede on Friday, April 30th, 2021 hosted a reconciliation meeting between two communities at Labiran, Ibadan where the youths have been in conflict for a while.

The reconciliatory meeting which held at the Mogaji Ile Nla’s Court was attended by the DG Operation Burst, Rt. Col. Oladipo, the SA to the Governor on Youth and Sport, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and sports Mrs Alolade Agboola, Executive Secretary of the Agency for Youth Agency,Mrs AO Adegbola and host of others.

The community which according to the Commissioner, had rancour which has led to civil unrest.

Speaking after the meeting, Fakorede said, “After much deliberation with the leaders of these communities we were able to start the peace reconciliation process and hope that they will keep that way to avoid future violence and disruption of peace.”
