Chief Ahmed Ajibola, who recently resigned from the City Boy Movement in Oyo State, has moved to debunk reports on some blogs alleging his exit was tied to misconduct, describing the claims as a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image.
Documents seen by Journalists show he was offered two separate roles within the Movement in the days before his resignation, and turned down both.
The first document, dated 1 August 2026 and signed by Hon. Olufemi Onireti, State Director of the City Boy Movement, Oyo State, informed Ajibola that his office had been changed from State Coordinator to Coordinator, Directorate Affairs, as part of a reshuffling of the state executive council.
In the new role, he would have reported to the State Deputy Director, coordinating and supervising the Movement’s directorates across the state.
Four days later, on 5 August 2026, the Movement’s National Leadership wrote to Ajibola again, this time offering him the position of Coordinator of Stakeholders Engagement for the South-West Geopolitical Zone, a separate, zonal-level office reporting to the Zonal Coordinator, for an initial 12-month tenure.
According to Ajibola, he declined both offers before tendering his resignation. He maintains this sequence – two documented offers of continued service, not a disciplinary letter or query – undermines claims that he was pushed out over misconduct.
