Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has stated that the timeline for the completion of the Iwo-road interchange project is twelve months.
Governor Makinde made this statement on Friday 29th May 2020 at the flag-off ceremony of the project to mark exactly one year that he assumed office.
According to the Governor, the interchange is expected to help build the state economy and address the traffic gridlock and reduce the man-hours wasted on the road.
“We flagged off the construction of the Iwo Road Interchange, today. The interchange is strategic to the economy of Oyo State and will address the traffic gridlock on Iwo Road and reduce the man-hours wasted on this road. The timeline for completion of the project is 12 months” He said.
Present at the flag off is Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji among others.
