Buhari, Adepoju, Iloko, Others Present As FIBSA Holds 2nd Parliamentary Lecture in Grand Style

The National Council of Federation of Ibarapa Students Association, FIBSA held her second annual Parliamentary lecture in grand style on 19th February, 2021.

At the event that witnessed dignitaries like Senator Fatai Buhari of Oyo North, Dr. Adepoju among others was organized to proffer solutions to the challenges facing governance, youth emancipation, and discussion on National issues, and ground to prepare the youth for the future challenges.

The lecture, themed: Building and Sustaining Viable youth for nation Building; The role of Parliamentarian. The Parliamentarian representating the Good people of Oyo North, Senator Abdul fatai Buhari was able do absolute justice to that and other wonderful guest Speakers. .

The lecture brought alots of dignitaries across the state together where each Speaker pass one or two messages to both secondary school and tertiary school students present. They emphasis that while government and Parliament plays their role, it’s very much important rise up to responsibility, Sen. Buhari Stressed that, Okonjo never get to the top by magic, but have to pass through many ladders. It’s takes gradual process. You all mustn’t give up on Nigeria, all hands must be on desk to get the better Nigeria of our dream.

He further stressed by using himself as a typical example, he said ” I was once Ómó iya Eleko then, but today Am a senator, so therefore don’t look down on yourself no matter what you are passing through. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Other key speaker, Dr Adepoju popularly known as Ibarapa gave some words of encouragement particularly to the young secondary school students and appreciated FIBSA for coming up with great initiative like this.

Also Speaking in the event, Hon Ojoawo Ayoade popularly known as Iloko advised the students to be 100% serious with their academics and must always be a good ambassador of the youths and our region as Ibarapa are known to be of good ethics (omoluabi)

Among others, Hon Ajibola Muraina , Honourable representating the good people of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency who was duly reprsented by Dr. Diamond who was the Convener of The maiden Ibarapa Youth Summit. He emphasized on the need for youths and Students to believe in themselves, he said “even if not one is motivating you, motivate yourself and dream high. He further stressed how Hon Muraina at the floor of the house on February 16th, three days ago raised a beneficent motion that the house should increase the present number of constituency in Oyo state from 32 to 40. He emphasized that, the increment if passed will bring Alots of goodies for everyone and even the unborn future generations.

Also, Mr Adegoke Adeoye, who represented Fagbemi Dominic Al-amin Akinjide Foundation (DAF FOUNDATION) in his own speech Said, while Senator was ómó iya iya eleko, he was also ómó iya teacher, even in those days where little stipends are given to teachers, yet I made it to where I am to today, students gear up, you will get to the top one day”

On the final note, The FIBSA Senate President, co senators, President and co executives appreciated all dignitaries and entire students for gracing the occasion and also every single one who contributed to the success of the program.

This year’s annual lecture is being held at Lanlate Town Hall in line with the present Guildlines of the Covid-19 pandemic.
