UI VC, Others Pay Courtesy Visit to Former Pro-Chancellor, Elder Ohiwerei

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, has led a team from the University to pay a courtesy visit to a former President of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association and former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Elder Felix O. A. Ohiwerei in his Lagos home.

Professor Adebowale appreciated the immense and selfless contribution of Mr Ohiwerei to the development of the University of Ibadan at the different times that he occupied the two important positions in the University.

He assured that the present Management team would do all it could to ensure that the position of the University of Ibadan as the first and the best was upheld.

Mr Ohiwerei, who felt highly honoured to receive the team, recalled that serving the University as the Pro-Chancellor, President of the Alumni Association, and later as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alumni Association was borne out of his passion of service to mankind and not for pecuniary gains.

● a former member of the University’s Governing Council and active life- member of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Dr Gani Adeniran.
● Deputy Registrar in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr O. O Dada
● Principal Assistant Registrar/Public Relations Officer, Directorate of Public Communication, Mrs Adejoke O. Akinpelu, and
●University official Photographer, Mr Adeniyi Adebayo.
