UI Literary and Debating Society Releases Calendar for ‘Jaw War 2021’

The Literary and Debating Society of the University of Ibadan has announced September 29, 2021 as the commencement date to kick start the long awaiting biggest debating competition in Sub Sahara Africa tagged ‘Jaw War’.

In a statement made available to OYOMIND by the Executive Council of the Society, the calendar of the debate that is going national for the first time since its inception was drafted to enable the participants and other parties involved to prepare off ahead.

While the executives appreciate the support received so far, they urged people to come out in their numbers to witness the maiden edition as Jaw War goes National.

“It is with no further ado, that we bring you the final calendar for Jaw War–the biggest Debating Competition in Sub-saharan Africa held in University of Ibadan.

“After several deliberations by the executive council; reconciliation with the School Calendar and a number of imperative factors, The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan brings you the final calendar for JAW WAR 2021.

“This timeline of events will, consequently, enable all constituencies prepare effectively for each round of Jaw War and bring the quality and spice that Jaw War has always been known for.

“We thank you for your support so far and we look forward to hosting you at the opening ceremony on 29th September, 2021.”
