Sixteen graduates from Oyo State have received federal government employment through the intervention of Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The beneficiaries, who were recently employed by the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), were hosted by the senator and presented with their appointment letters.
Announcing the development through his verified social media handle, Senator Buhari described the gesture as part of his commitment to creating opportunities and ensuring fair representation for the people of Oyo State in the federal civil service.
“I am glad to announce that I recently facilitated federal government employment for 16 qualified graduates from Oyo State,” he stated.
According to the lawmaker, the intervention goes beyond securing jobs, emphasizing that it is aimed at transforming lives and empowering young people.
“This is not just about jobs. It is about changing lives. It is about giving our people fair representation in the federal civil service. For me, this is what representation is about—opening doors, creating opportunities, and ensuring our people are not left behind,” he added.
Senator Buhari further noted that facilitating employment opportunities for qualified constituents across Oyo State, beyond Oyo North Senatorial District, has remained a hallmark of his public service.
The senator is also widely credited for championing the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO). Despite initial skepticism from critics over the feasibility of the project, the institution has become a reality and is already positioning the Oke-Ogun region as an emerging hub for academic excellence, research, and innovation.
