The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has appointed former Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede, as Director-General of Youth Mobilisation and Strategy for the Odidiomo Campaign Council in Oyo South Senatorial District.
The appointment places Fakorede at the centre of the campaign council’s efforts to engage and mobilise young people across the senatorial district ahead of the 2027 elections.
Fakorede previously served as Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports and later as Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Youth and Sports. His public profile has also included youth development, leadership and governance initiatives.
The new role is expected to involve developing youth-focused strategies, coordinating grassroots mobilisation and strengthening engagement with young voters and youth organisations within Oyo South.
Fakorede is also known for his work through Home Advantage Africa, a youth empowerment and social development organisation.
The appointment comes as political activities intensify in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties and campaign structures increasingly focusing on youth mobilisation and grassroots engagement.
The Odidiomo Campaign Council is expected to release further details on its mobilisation structure and other appointments as preparations gather momentum.
