A private security company, ROCKSHIELD, is facing serious criticism and public scrutiny following allegations that two of its personnel assigned to guard a residence masterminded the theft of gold valuables and over N11 million from the property in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
According to information gathered, the incident occurred ending of last year after the owners of the residence reportedly noticed that a substantial gold amount to over 11 million Naira had gone missing under mysterious circumstances despite the residence being under constant security surveillance.
The victims had reportedly engaged the services of ROCK SHIELD to safeguard their home, trusting that the company’s personnel would help protect lives and property. However, suspicion later shifted toward the security guards after repeated concerns over unusual movements around the premises.
Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that the homeowners eventually installed surveillance measures to monitor activities within and around the residence.
The footage allegedly revealed that the three guards who are, Orikeye Olaoluwa, Orikeye Ayomiposi and Peter deployed by the company were directly involved in the theft.
Further investigations reportedly showed that the suspects had secretly duplicated a key to gain unauthorized access into the house through the back door, despite the presence of an electronic door lock system.
Efforts to reach the management of ROCK SHIELD for comments were the unsuccessful, as calls placed to the company went unanswered.
