Oyo Police Commences Investigation Days After the Murder of ‘Oshiagwu Grace’

The Oyo State Police Command has begun an investigation into the dastardly killing of Grace Oshiagwu, an ND1 student of Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, who was murdered at her parent’s house in Ojoo, Ibadan.

Officers from the Federal and State Special Anti Robbery Squad led by the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Security, Fatai Owoseni, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Kehinde Longe, visited the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation of the incident.

Fatai Owoseni, who spoke at the scene of the incident, disclosed that the three murders in Akinyele area of Oyo State can be linked to ritual killings. He assured residents that the security operatives with the support of the local vigilante group would apprehend the culprits.

Also, the Caretaker Chairman, Akinyele Local Government, Taoheed Adedigba, and his counterpart from Akinyele South Local Council Development Area, Kazeem Adekunle, expressed their grief over the incidents and pleaded for a timely intervention from the security operatives to curb future occurrences.
