A former All Progressive Congress(APC) House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Ibrahim Olayode Iyiola, earliertoday, held a special eight-day Fidau Prayer for late Former Governor of Oyo State Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Sunday at Ile Anla, Isale Ijebu, Oja’ba, Ibadan.
The special prayer according to Iyiola was organized to bid farewell to an “exemplary leader who did his best to place Oyo state at a very high level amongst its counterpart.”
In his remark, Ibrahim Iyiola, popularly known as, Dudu Alubarika said Late Ajimobi was a great nationalist and a political figure who never took anybody for granted.
“Former Governor Ajimobi was a father to many people, he does not look down on anybody, he always believed something can come out of anybody.
“Death, we know, is inevitable, but it hits the wrong chord and leaves a huge vacuum in our hearts. It took away a man with a positive impact, a man whose wealth of knowledge and exemplary leadership remain our source of guidance but we take solace in the fact he was able to touch many lives and served humanity to the best of ability,”
Present at the Fidau were representatives of the League of Imams sent by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Agbotomokekere, Alhaji Hon Najeemudeen Abass, Alhaji Hon Musiliu Arowopoko and host of other clerics.
Also present were the Executives of Dudu Alubarika foundation and APC executives in Ibadan South East local government.
