The immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Honourable Seun Fakorede has his gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to him to serve the good people of the state.
In a statement made available to OYOMIND, Fakorede expressed that his one year and few months of service with the Governor has exposed him to meaningful leadership orientation, hence he will forever be grateful.
“As an individual, I am most grateful to have been recognised by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, to work with him as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
“Though, I understand the fact that the news of our dissolution would have come as a shock to many a people (myself inclusive) but; I make bold to say that the Governor acted in the best interest of the good people of the State.
“My one year and few months in active service of the State, with the Governor as the Captain has exposed me to meaningful leadership orientation, and, I’ll forever be grateful to the Governor for granting me an opportunity to serve and contribute my quota to the development of Oyo State.
“As I handover to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Dele Oyadeyi, I express my sincere appreciation to my amazing team and every member of Staff of the Ministry — I immensely acknowledge the unfettered cooperation — It was exemplary!” he said.
