The excellent ladies club, a non-governmental, non-political, social organization with a vision and mission focused on capacity development and confidence-building in the female groups in the society, on Monday, March 8 2020, joined hands with the rest of the world in commemoration of the International Women’s Day.

The leader of the group, Mrs Oluwaseyi  Ilori, alongside some members visited St. Mathias Primary schools in Orogun to present 50(Fifty) sets of new school uniforms to both the male and female pupils of the school.

The club, which had earlier got approval from the state ministry of Education through the office of the Commissioner for Education before proceeding with the exercise, said the activities were intended to enable pupils with torn uniforms or without uniform to receive their classes comfortably and with good feelings of belonging.

The pupils of the school upon receiving the uniform were very happy and full of joy. Some of the pupils expressed their happiness and thanked the club leadership for the kind gesture.

Expressing her gratitude, the Head-teacher of the school thanked the good people of the society who supported the club financially and morally for the success of this laudable program.

In her address, the president of the club also thanked the good people of their immediate communities, philanthropies, patron, Matron, club adviser and the great members of Excellent Ladies Club for their supports towards the growth and development of the club and the society at large. She now urges the government Agencies, parastatals, and concerned people of the state to always remember the vulnerable groups of our society i.e the women, the Children and the Aged, in their several empowerment and liberation programs.

In her conclusion, she called upon parents and guardians to do all in their capacity to ensure adequate care for these young ones because they are the future of our dear nation.
