The Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, has declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sanusi made his position known when leaders of the City Boy Movement in Oyo State paid him a visit at his resort in Ibadan.
The meeting was led by the Oyo State Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Femi Onireti, and the movement’s coordinator, Hon. Wale Oladiti.
During the engagement, Sanusi told the City Boy leaders that he had been working tirelessly towards the re-election of Tinubu as President of Nigeria and the emergence of Alli as the next Governor of Oyo State.
The Ilaji CEO also expressed his readiness to support the political activities and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, according to those familiar with the meeting.
His declaration adds to the growing political engagements and consultations taking place across Oyo State as political actors and support groups begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.
The City Boy Movement, which has been active in mobilising support for President Tinubu, has continued to strengthen its grassroots engagement across Oyo State.
The meeting with Sanusi was therefore seen as part of the movement’s ongoing consultations with influential stakeholders and community leaders as it seeks to expand its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Sanusi further assured the City Boy delegation of his accessibility and hospitality, telling the group that his house would remain open to them and that they could visit at any time.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss political developments in Oyo State and the broader preparations for the 2027 elections.
With the 2027 elections still ahead, political alignments, consultations and support declarations are increasingly becoming prominent across the state, particularly among groups seeking to influence the direction of the next governorship contest.
