Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, following a late-night rescue operation on Saturday.
The victims were abducted by armed gunmen in Ibadan, Oyo State, while Mrs. John-Paul was reportedly on her way to drop the children at school. The incident sparked widespread concern across the state, with security agencies launching an intensive search operation to secure their release.
According to reports circulating on Saturday evening, the police successfully rescued the mother and her twin sons alive during an operation carried out at about 7:30 p.m. Details surrounding the rescue, including whether any suspects were arrested or if a ransom was paid, were not immediately available.
