Congratulations have gone to Governor Seyi Makinde over his emergence as vice-chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, and commissioning of the new Oyo State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.
A group, SMS Vanguard, comprising of loyalists of Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, said Makinde’s emergence could not have come at a better time.
According to them, Makinde’s exemplary achievements in his first term could not have gone unnoticed, adding that they were proud to be associated with the governor.
A statement by the duo of Hon. Nureni Alade and Hon Bello Tajudeen Olori, political Heads/Administrators, of Oyo South West and Iganna LCDAs respectively, said that “We loyalists of Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, under the umbrella of SMS, Vanguard, are pleased to be associated with a performing governor and leader as he becomes the vice- chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF. For us, we are not surprised bearing in mind that our leader, Governor Seyi Makinde has performed well. His victory at the poll was a testament of his achievements. Moreover he has always shown he is a pan-Nigerian with a just and selfless ideology.
“We also like to congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde over the commissioning of the Oyo Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro. Among many others, it shows the governor is committed to developing the state. That new edifice is one of the tools to making Oyo achieving his goals. That new edifice is long over due infrastructure that will go a long way in promoting administrative colour of the state.
“This won’t be complete without thanking our leader and mentor, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu for standing strong with the governor. We make bold to say that Sen. Sunmonu has always been solidly with us all, telling us all times to emulate Governor Seyi Makinde. We are happy to have Mama as one of our pillars of support,” they added.
