Ibadan North LG Boss, Yusuf Sahib ‘Agba Egbe’ Congratulates Olubadan, Charges Him To Carry All Subjects Along To An Era of Peace

The executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Honourable Yusuf Sahib Oladayo has congratulated the newly crowned Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator (Dr.) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo (Alli Okunmade II) on the occasion of his coronation.

In a statement made available to OYOMIND, the Council Boss, charged the Olubadan to carry all his subjects along to a new era of peace and progress in Ibadan and beyond.

He also calls on Oba Balogun to prepare to put his position as Olubadan of Ibadanland to good use in the service of the country.

The statement reads thus:

“On behalf of the good people of Ibadan North Government, I, the executive chairman of Ibadan North local government, hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe), hereby congratulates Oba Senator (Dr) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo (Alli Okunmade 11) on his emergence and coronation as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland and successor to the late Oba Akanmu Saliu Adetunji.

“I rejoice with Oba Senator (Dr) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo (Alli Okunmade 11) on his coronation and presentation of staff by the governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde at the ancient Mapo Hall.

“As he begins his reign as the olubadan of ascension to the revered throne of his great ancestors, the executive chairman urges the Olubadan to commit himself to carry all his subjects along to a new era of peace, stability, and progress in Ibadan, Yoruba land and Nigeria as a whole.

“The local government chairman calls on Oba Lekan Balogun to be prepared to put his new position as Olubadan and principal custodian of the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Yoruba’s to good use in the service of his people and country.

“As baba ascends to the grand throne of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, he prays that God Almighty will grant him the immense wisdom and courage he will require to oversee further progress and greater prosperity for his people.

“He wishes the new Olubadan a long and highly successful reign in the service of his people, the country, and the entire Yoruba race.”
