A presidential aide on special duties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has congratulated the Oba of Ado-Odo Kingdom and Olofin Adimula Oodua of Ado-Odo, Aworiland, Oba Idris Olushola Adebowale Lamidi-Osolo (Otenibotemole II), on the occasion of his second coronation anniversary, describing his reign as one marked by unity, stability and cultural preservation.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the milestone, Yusuf said the celebration represents more than a ceremonial anniversary, but a moment of reflection on the growth, peace and renewed pride the kingdom has experienced since the monarch ascended the throne two years ago.
He noted that the Oba’s emergence marked the continuation of a historic royal lineage deeply rooted in the traditions and identity of Ado-Odo Kingdom, adding that the monarch has since demonstrated “dignity, calm strength and wisdom” in his leadership of the people.
According to him, the throne of Ado-Odo carries deep spiritual and historical significance, requiring patience, sacrifice and a strong sense of responsibility to all subjects irrespective of background or differences. He said the monarch has, within the past two years, shown remarkable commitment to these expectations, earning respect across the kingdom and beyond.
“The throne you occupy is ancient, respected and spiritually significant. It demands patience, sacrifice and the ability to stand as a father to all,” the statement read.
The aide further commended the monarch for promoting peace, unity and cultural values, noting that his reign has strengthened a sense of identity among the people of Ado-Odo at a time when many communities face divisions and uncertainty.
He also described Ado-Odo as a historically significant and unconquered kingdom within Aworiland, saying the throne remains a living symbol of resilience, heritage and pride for generations past, present and future.
“For elders, this reign represents stability; for youths, it represents hope and cultural awakening; and for the entire kingdom, it represents reassurance that the throne remains in safe and honourable hands,” he added.
Yusuf prayed for continued peace, progress and development across the kingdom, while wishing the monarch long life, sound health and greater wisdom as he continues to lead.
He concluded by congratulating the Oba on the milestone, expressing hope that his reign would continue to deepen unity, preserve tradition and advance the greatness of Ado-Odo Kingdom
