Yesterday, an empowerment programme was held to support market men and women across the Oyo Federal Constituency through a cash grant initiative.
Sponsored by the convener of PBAT Again 2027, Ambassador Adekunle Adeleke, the programme benefited 650 market men and women across the four local government areas of Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West.
The initiative was aimed at providing financial support to beneficiaries, strengthening their businesses, and improving their livelihoods. It also provided an opportunity to rally support for APC candidates, from the President and Senatorial candidate to the House of Representatives, Governorship, and State House of Assembly candidates.
The event was attended by notable personalities from both political and non-political circles.
Also in attendance were the three State House of Assembly candidates: Abiodun Ayobami Ajeigbe for Oyo East and Oyo West, Ojo Oyewole for Afijio, and Olushina Ijadunola for Atiba.
The turnout was large and impressive, with several goodwill messages delivered in support of the initiative and its impact on market men and women across the constituency.
