Lead City University, Ibadan, has announced the appointment of renowned communication scholar and media expert, Dr. Bayo Busari, as the new Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The appointment marks a significant milestone for the institution as it continues its commitment to academic excellence, and leadership development in media and communication studies.
Dr. Busari, a respected academic and seasoned communication strategist, has served the university for several years, contributing immensely to lecturing, research, mentorship, and the advancement of the department. His wealth of experience in journalism, media studies, and digital media has earned him recognition within academic and professional circles.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Busari served in key academic capacities within the department, including as Coordinator of Postgraduate Programmes, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening postgraduate education and research.
Over the years, he has established himself as a leading voice on issues relating to media development, journalism ethics, democratic governance, and the welfare of media practitioners. His scholarly works and public engagements have consistently emphasized the critical role of the media in nation-building and democratic accountability.
As Head of Department, Dr. Busari is expected to steer the department towards greater achievements, champion curriculum innovation, and prepare students to meet the evolving demands of the rapidly changing media landscape.
