Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and longtime ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, has expressed regret over his support for the governor during the 2023 governorship election.
Arapaja made the statement on Thursday while receiving an APC chieftain at his residence.
The former PDP National Secretary said he was “deeply sorry” for supporting Makinde in the election, accusing the governor of being deceitful and ungrateful.
“I’m deeply sorry for supporting GSM in 2023. I now believe he has been deceitful and ungrateful,” Arapaja said.
He also described Makinde as “a big mistake in Oyo State” and said he remained a progressive politician who would not engage in anti-party activities.
