A prominent figure in Ibadan South-East Local Government, Barrister Rotimi Okeowo, Ph.D, has congratulated Mr. Joseph Tegbe on his nomination as Minister of Power by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Thursday, Okeowo described Tegbe’s nomination as a well-deserved recognition of competence, professionalism and years of dedicated service to national development.
He said Tegbe possesses the experience, intellect and administrative capacity required to reposition Nigeria’s power sector and support the ongoing reforms of the Tinubu administration.
According to Okeowo, the nomination is not only a proud moment for Oyo State but also a testament to the growing confidence in the quality of leaders and technocrats emerging from the state.
“Joseph Tegbe is a seasoned technocrat with a remarkable track record in both the private and public sectors. His nomination as Minister of Power is a round peg in a round hole,” he said.
He expressed confidence that Tegbe would bring innovation, strategic thinking and efficiency into the power ministry, adding that Nigerians expect practical solutions to the country’s electricity challenges.
Okeowo also commended President Tinubu for what he described as a thoughtful and strategic nomination, noting that the president remains committed to placing capable hands in key sectors of the economy.
He prayed for wisdom, strength and success for Tegbe as he prepares to assume the national assignment, while urging stakeholders and Nigerians to support him in delivering meaningful reforms in the power sector.
