Popular Nollywood veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died.
The veteran Yoruba actor reportedly died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, after battling cancer.
His death was announced by his daughter, Kira Taiwo, during an Instagram Live session on Sunday.
The development comes just days after members of his family appealed for urgent medical assistance, revealing that the 66-year-old actor was battling stage-four cancer.
His daughters, Lima and Kira, had disclosed that his condition had deteriorated and appealed to medical professionals and healthcare facilities for assistance in treating their father.
Ogogo was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, with a career spanning several decades as an actor, producer and filmmaker.
