Since the appointment of Aide on Students’ Affairs, Mr. Victor Olojede, Students’ Associations in Oyo State has witnessed series of unfortunate intrusion and desire to annexed the independent Students’ body to a part of the office of the Governor’s Aide.
Visible in the recent development of Activities in the conducts of administrations of the Oyo State based Students’ Associations, majorly the Federation of Oyo State Students (FOSSU) and various politics interplay in the University of Ibadan Students politics.
Recall that, during the FOSSU National Election, Victor Olojede was accused of deploying various means to interrupt and disrupt the students election. Ranging from his accused manipulation of Election’s venues and intimidation of the School Proprietors in Ogbomoso, Oyo state over using of their venue for the election and his role in the disruption of the election.
While the FOSSUIEC cried out over the role of the Oyo State Government in the Election’s cancellation, many believed that, “Mr. Victor Olojede has been focusing and corrupting Students’ Independent Association because of his own personal account without the instructions of his Supervisors”, According to a member of the National Association of Oyo Students Member’s opinion.
While many has been noticing this wild inclusion of the Makinde’s Aide, this act has been recorded during the University of Ibadan Students’ Union election in 2021, when he was accused of supporting one of the two contenders for the office of the Union’s President, until he declared his neutrality and changed his intents during the election.
In conclusion, an individual who occupied an office is expected to protect his neutrality as this has been one of the features that Mr. Victor has been lacking as he is already forgetting his role and unable to distinguish between Aide’s on Students’ Affairs and being a student
