The Oyo State Owned University, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Students has written letter to Seyi Makinde complaining about the No Tuition, No Exam Policy as well as the non implementation of 25% reduction in the tuition fees.
In the letter signed by Indigents Students while Carbon copying other stakeholders in the Education’s Ministry exposed the decay in the University Administration in “producing more dropouts every year than graduates”.
“ever since, it had been series of students dropping out of the Institution, it has been a journey of marring the careers tht the Institutions was supposed to make, it has been the production of hooligans, Fraudsters and victims of disappointments and a failed Government”, the anonymous signed letter read.
The letter further explained that, “the student are overworked, running two sessions in a year, putting parents on the run to rally for tuition of two years in a year”
The Students further praised the Makinde-led Oyo State Government for the “full payment of subvention to LAUTECH”, however, they further indicate the Commissioner of Education, Barr. Rahman Abdul Raheem who, “has connived with the Management of LAUTECH, The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Professor Mojeed Olaide, Dean of Students’ Affairs, Professor Azeem Ige, has been playing the role of silencing the students who are the very platform that influenced the newness in the state, the Advent of clear waters.”
“It has been a tussle of who eats more from the spoils of the Students as the fattening of the pockets of some of the Management staff and purchase of Vehicle, which is the reason why Mebers of ASUU are also having their shares by threatening with strike action.
