The Chief Medical Director, UCH, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo has been elected and sworn in yesterday as the President of the Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria (SOGHIN).
Congratulatory messages have since been pouring in for the don. Noteworthy of which is that of the Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Prof. Olayinka Omigbodun who in her message, described him as an outstanding achiever and a trailblazer.
Her statement reads in part:
“On behalf of the Staff and Students of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI), I congratulate the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on his election to the position of President of the Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria (SOGHIN).”
“We are truly proud of this additional accolade and call to service and we are not surprised as you have a track record of outstanding achievements and have always been a trailblazer.”
“We are grateful for the partnership we enjoy with the UCH and thank you for all that you have been doing to support the College. We are so pleased about the numerous transformative projects you have embarked upon since you took office and pray for a sustained and continual grace to excel.”
