Oyo State Network of the Young African Leaders Initiative, YALI Oyo, held its monthly meetup on Saturday, July 24, at the American Corner, Ibadan.
The highlight of the July meetup was the inauguration of a new Executive to oversee the affairs of the network for the next one year.

While speaking at the event, a founding member and Pioneer Coordinator of the network in the state, Emeka Ossai, emphasized the need for members to volunteer with different organisations and programmes.
He noted that members must ensure their career goals shape the volunteering steps they take to ensure their efforts are not in vain.
In her remarks, the Director of American Corner, Ibadan, Mrs. Adefemi Bucknor-Aigbede, charged members to become more active to ensure they can easily tap from the numerous opportunities the organisation has to offer.
She noted that while the United States remains the biggest philanthropic contributor to the country, young people must be ready to create value in order to put themselves in a position to tap from these benefits.
