The Folorunso Iserere Foundation (FIF) in partnership with the Federation of Akinyele Local Government Students (FLAGS) has taken it as a point of duty to further enlighten secondary school students who are females on Menstrual Hygiene, it’s importance and implication on health if not taken care of.
The program tagged “Menstrual Health Talk” held on thr18th November, 2020 had in attendance over 200 girls across the Akinyele Local Government.
As planned by the organizers, the program provided adequate information needed for attended on good menstrual hygiene, debunk myths and false information about the monthly flow and also to get familiarized with essential dos and don’ts before, during and after their periods.
Representatives of Folorunso Iserere Foundation (FiF) and Federation of Akinyele Local Government Students ensured everyone left informed about the subject matter and substantial amounts of sanitary pads were provided for attendees.
The programme is in part fulfillment of Folorunso Iserere Foundation’s mission to contribute to the health of Akinyele indigenes and residents and Oyo State at large.
