Akeem Adetoyese Ishola has dismissed the allegation of anti-party activities levelled against him by the Oyo State chapter of the City’s Boys Movement, describing the accusation as baseless and challenging the group to provide evidence to support its claim.
Adetoyese spoke in reaction to a statement issued by the movement on Friday, October 16, 2026, announcing his expulsion alongside Abiola Oyeyemi Olubadan over alleged anti-party activities.
He said he had distanced himself from City Boy a long time ago because of what he described as highhandedness and favouritism within the group.
“The idea of the said expulsion was from my political rivals who think they can use it to get to top and I will soon expose all what they are doing behind the APC.
“I don’t know what they mean by anti-party because I don’t engage in any anti-party,” he said.
Adetoyese cited the removal of the movement’s former Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, popularly known as Copacapana CEO, as an example of what he considered unfair treatment within the group.
According to him, the situation and other concerns about the way the group operates made it difficult for him to continue associating with it.
He maintained that his conscience would not allow him to support or identify with a group where, in his view, favouritism and unfair treatment were allowed to thrive.
Adetoyese also challenged the movement to present evidence of any anti-party activity he had engaged in, insisting that allegations of this nature should be supported by facts rather than mere claims.
The City’s Boys Movement had accused Adetoyese and Oyeyemi of engaging in activities contrary to the interests of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, particularly through alleged discreet support for candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
In the statement signed by its Director of Information, Inaolaji Akinloye Adisa, the movement said the decision to expel the two individuals followed an emergency meeting of its State Executive Committee.
The group also reaffirmed its commitment to the success of all APC candidates in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging its members to remain loyal to the party and its candidates.
However, Adetoyese insisted that he does not engage in anti-party activities and maintained that the allegation against him was baseless.
He called on the movement to substantiate its claim with evidence.
