Barr. Rotimi Okeowo, PhD, has been appointed Election Manager for Ibadan South East Local Government Area and has also been given the responsibility of coordinating Election Managers across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State under the BSA political structure.
Reacting to the development, the Financial Secretary of the BSA Professional Support Group, Ibrahim Olatunji, described Okeowo’s additional responsibility as a significant development that would strengthen coordination across the state’s local government areas.
Olatunji said Okeowo’s experience and understanding of election management would be valuable in coordinating the various Election Managers and ensuring greater uniformity in election-related activities across Oyo State.
He noted that the arrangement would provide a central coordination structure for the Election Managers while allowing each local government manager to focus on the peculiarities of their respective areas.
According to him, the development further demonstrates the growing organisational structure around the BSA 2027 project as political activities gather momentum across the state.
Olatunji congratulated Okeowo on the additional responsibility and expressed confidence that he would bring his experience to bear in coordinating the Election Managers across the 33 local government areas.
He added that the BSA Professional Support Group would continue to support initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots coordination and effective election preparation across Oyo State.
