Stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have distanced themselves from what they described as unauthorized and inflammatory publications circulating in the media under their name.
In a statement jointly signed by prominent party figures, the group said the reports were the handiwork of unknown individuals or groups falsely parading themselves as representatives of concerned stakeholders within the party.
The leaders stressed that the publications do not reflect their position, values, or collective objectives, reaffirming their commitment to the unity, progress, and electoral success of the APC both in Oyo State and nationwide.
The stakeholders also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the APC presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general elections, describing his leadership and resilience as inspiring to party faithful across the country.
They urged party members in Oyo State to remain calm, focused, and disciplined, warning against actions or statements capable of causing division within the party.
Reacting to controversies surrounding the recently concluded governorship primaries in the state, the stakeholders called on members to disregard manipulated figures and speculative reports in circulation.
They, however, appealed to the appropriate party authorities to release the authentic and comprehensive results of all primaries conducted in Oyo State, in line with practices in other states.
Reaffirming their loyalty to the APC, the stakeholders emphasized the need for unity and cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that only a disciplined and united party can secure victory at all levels.
