The Court of Appeal has upheld the ruling of the Federal High Court that stopped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention, delivering a significant setback to Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp.
The appeal, brought by the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the PDP, was dismissed by the appellate court, which also awarded a cost of N2 million against the appellants.
The ruling means the PDP convention remains on hold, reinforcing the legal barrier against Makinde-aligned interests within the party.
