Hon. Hamzat Rilwan Opeyemi Olunlade
APC Aspirant for Oyo State House Of Assembly, Ibadan North-East Constituency I
Hon. Hamzat Rilwan Opeyemi Olunlade is a proud son of Ibadan North-East Local Government. He hails from the Olunlade Compound in Ward 3, with maternal roots in Ward 6 of the same local government.
His educational journey began at IMG Beyeruka, after which he moved to the Agbowo–University of Ibadan area to continue his studies at Prince of Life International Nursery and Primary School, Agbowo, Ibadan. He later attended Immanuel College High School, Orita UI, Ibadan (2002–2008), where he distinguished himself as one of the most outstanding students, excelling both academically and in character.
Driven by a passion for knowledge and leadership, Hon. Olunlade proceeded to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. His leadership qualities shone through during his undergraduate years, as he served as the Class Representative from 200 Level until graduation. In recognition of his commitment, discipline, and service, he received the Excellent Leadership Award and Certificate, as well as the Most Punctual Student Award (2014–2019).
His quest for academic excellence did not end there. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the National Open University of Nigeria (2021–2023), and also obtained another Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Lagos (2022–2024).
Professionally, Hon. Hamzat Olunlade is a skilled technician and entrepreneur who specializes in the buying, selling, and repair of mobile phones, computers, gadgets, and accessories a testament to his hard work, versatility, and commitment to honest enterprise.
In politics, he is a youthful leader with vision, humility, and sincerity of purpose. He is deeply connected to the grassroots, values human relationships, and believes strongly in youth inclusion and empowerment. His educational background in Political Science, along with his advanced studies in Public Administration and International Relations, has equipped him with the knowledge, exposure, and competence needed to serve effectively.
As one of the aspirants vying to represent Ibadan North-East Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olunlade stands out as a brilliant, capable, and people-oriented leader, a young man with integrity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in governance.
