Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Abiodun Oni, as the Director-General of the Mineral Development Agency of Oyo State and Executive Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
This was just as the governor also approved the appointments of four more media aides.
The governor, in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, also announced the appointments of Mr. Olorundare Olamide Wilson as Senior Special Assistant on New Media, while Oluwadare Daniel Aleshinloye, was reappointed as Special Assistant on Photography.
The duo of Mr. Timilehin Olubiyi and Miss Mobolaji Dada have also been appointed as Special Assistant (New Media I) and Special Assistant (New Media II) respectively.
Recall that Abiodun Oni, the immediate past Commissioner for Environment was prior to his appointment as member of the state cabinet was the Executive Chairman, Oyo state Mineral Development Agency; an office he excelled with various achievements including putting Oyo state in global map as the largest gemstone market in Africa.
Governor Makinde, while congratulating the new appointees, charged them to see their appointments as a call to service and to discharge their duties with loyalty, dedication and diligence.
