The gubernatorial ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin has received boost as the erstwhile council chairman of Ibadan North East, Honourable Lekan Afuye declared his unwavering support for him.
Afuye, who is the National Deputy Director General for Asiwaju support group said that he can’t be working to the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president of Nigeria and neglect the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Folarin.
In a chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM from the U.S.A where he is on vacation, the immediate past local government chairman said he is in support of what majority of his former colleagues are doing as far as the governorship ambition of Folarin is concerned, adding that he would join them immediately he arrives the country.
Saying that he is a leader in the APC, the real estate investor explained that ”I am with Sen. Teslim Folarin 100 per cent and there is no doubt about that. I am in the mainstream of the APC as Oyo State is concerned. I will do whatever I can do to support my party and its candidates to win the next election.
”I am currently the national deputy director general for one Asiwaju support group— All People’s Coalition for Asiwaju Tinubu and Shettima (APCATS).
“I can’t have my cake and eat it at the same time, I cannot be working for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and be against Sen. Teslim Folarin. It is either I am in or out,” he added, noting that APC will form the next government in Oyo and Nigeria.
