One of the Gubernatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, Niyi Akintola has opted out of the race.
Akintola who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) opted out amidst the ongoing Primary Election at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan on Thursday, 26th of May, 2022.
Until now, Akintola had been in a close competition with 5 other notable personalities within the party which are Bayo Adelabu, Teslim Folarin, Akeem Alao, Azeez Adeduntan, and Akeem Agbaje and the ongoing primary was expected to determine who would be the party flag bearer at the 2023 Oyo Gubernatorial Election.
