An aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North East Constituency 1, Hon. Akeem Adetoyese Ishola has urged Muslim faithfuls, political leaders in the state to continue to be tolerance, spread love, and preach peace in the ongoing Ramadan period so as to foster unity and progress of the state.
In a statement made available to OYOMIND, Adetoyese welcome the Muslims in the state to the holy month, while he stated that, it was through peace, tolerance, and tranquility that meaningful development can come to the doorsteps of the state’s residents.
“The Ramadan period and other days of one’s life must be used to preach peace, spread love instead of hatred to promote peace and unity of the state and nation.”
The aspiring lawmaker in 2023 implored Muslims to support fellow believers morally and financially during the fasting period to reduce poverty in the society.
He stressed that the “Ramadan period is a period of giving out to the need as doing would add more values to the society”.
