A senior chief in Ibadanland, Oloye Sharafadeen Alli on Friday congratulated the 42nd newly installed Olubadan of Ibadanland, Dr. Lekan Balogun.
He said he was confident of rapid growth and development of Ibadanland during his tenure.
Sharafadeen Alli in a statement made available to OYOMIND said the recent amicable resolution of suit filed against the emergence of Dr. Balogun as Olubadan was to prove to the world the uniqueness of Olubadan chieftaincy system.
He urged all the sons and daughters of Ibadanland, at home and diaspora to support the newly installed monarch for betterment of Ibadanland.
The statement reads; “I want to congratulate our father, Dr. Lekan Balogun on his installation as Olubadan of Ibadanland. We are confident that his reign will bring rapid development to Ibadanland and Oyo state at large.
“As a true son of the land, I am proud of the amicable resolution of the recent legal tussle trailing emergence of our monarch. It is an indication that Ibadanland has a unique system.
“I hereby urge all the sons and daughters of Ibadanland, home and abroad to support Ibadanland and our new Olubadan of Ibadanland. I wish him long life and prosperous reign in iIbadanland.”
