89th Birthday: Senator Alli Confident in Oba Olakunlehin’s Leadership for Ibadanland

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, on the occasion of his 89th birthday.

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Ibadan.

The celebrant, who is Olubadan-designate, would be installed on Friday, July 12 as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Senator Alli, who is the Maye Balogun of Ibadanland, lauded Oba Olakunlehin’s lifelong contributions to the growth and development of Ibadanland.

He described the traditional ruler as a beacon of wisdom and leadership whose dedication to the progress of the community has been unwavering.

“Your life is a testament to the virtues of resilience, integrity, and selfless service. As you celebrate this milestone, we reflect on your immense impact and the legacy you continue to build for future generations.”

The lawmaker praised Oba Olakunlehin’s efforts in promoting peace, cultural heritage and unity among the people of Ibadanland.

Senator Alli expressed confidence in Oba Olakunlehin’s ability to lead Ibadanland with distinction as he prepared to ascend the throne.

“Your vast experience is and deep understanding of our traditions and values will undoubtedly guide our community towards greater heights and prosperity.”

“I am certain that under your reign, Ibadanland will continue to thrive, prosper and flourish.”

He wished the Olubadan-designate Allah’s blessings, good health, long life, and continued wisdom.

“May this new chapter in your life be filled with joy, fulfilment, and the realisation of your noble aspirations for Ibadanland.”
