We Will Roll Out Palliatives Within A Week, Make Wearing of Masks Compulsory – Makinde

Oyo State Government as part of her effort to prevent the spread of the pandemic coronavirus is putting up plan to make the wearing of masks in public compulsory.

This is contained in a press briefing made by the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde through his offical twitter handle on Wednesday night.

Makinde who just assumed back his position as the Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force having recovered from coronavirus positive test which later came out negative after two consecutive tests.

The governor briefed that his government is on a lookout on a home-grown solutions to deal with COVID-19.

“We will roll out palliatives for the poorest of the poor within a week.
We are also working on a law to make the wearing of masks in public compulsory, as one of the measures to slow down the spread of the virus.

“Finally, we’re also looking at local solutions to boost immunity based on expert opinion, as part of home-grown solutions to deal with COVID-19.

“We appreciate those who’ve donated to the State Endowment Fund for COVID-19. We’ve received nearly N200M in cash & various food items” He said.
