UI Commiserates with Governor Seyi Makinde Over Brother’s Demise

The University of Ibadan community has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, FNSE, D.Sc., a UI@75 Ambassador Extraordinaire, and a benefactor of the University, on the demise of his elder brother, Mr Sunday Makinde who died on Friday 24 January, 2025 at the age of 65 years.

The condolence message was contained in a letter written on behalf of the Council, Senate, Congregation, staff, and students of the University by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, fspsp.

The Vice-Chancellor prayed that God Almighty would grant the Governor and other members of the Makinde family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
