It was a blissful atmosphere at the Atiba University Main Hall, Oyo Town as Omo Iya Kunmi and Friends gathered Muslim faithful within and outside Oyo for the third edition of the annual Ramadan Public Lecture.
The event which held on Saturday, 8th May 2021 had in attendance dignitaries ranging from notable Islamic clerics, politicians, Academics and other individuals from different sphere of life such as, the Chief Imam of Oyo Town Alhaji Abdul Ganiy Adebayo Ajokidero III, Guest Lecturer Alh. (Sheik) Isiaq Olatunde (Imam, Apaara Central Mosque, Oyo) Alh. (Dr.) Lateef Adeniran, Alhaja (Chief) Adijat Peju Bakare (Iyaloja of Oyo Land) among others.
In a statement made available to OYOMIND, Alhaji Siyanbola Saheed, Founder Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation (OIKF) on behalf of himself and friends appreciated the attendees of the Ramadan lecture including people who could not attend due to tight schedule.
According to him, the support and love received from all and sundry to aid the programme was massive that the organizers could not phantom what they have done to deserve such.
“Again, what seemed like an impossible feat once again became a possibility. All thanks to almighty Allah who granted us success and the wonderful people who stood by us to make it a reality.
“Despite the short notice and the numerous social functions here and there, one would have thought the turnout wasnt going to be impressive but people from different walks of life trooped in to grace the event. It could only have been God!
“On behalf of myself and all friends of OIK, I really want to appreciate all those who came from far and near to grace the event. Words are not enough to show our gratitude but almighty Allah will reward you all abundantly.
“To those who couldn’t make it due to one reasons or the other, we really understand. May Allah spare our lives to witness many more years on earth.
“What could we have done without people who supported us financially, spiritually and morally? Only God can reward you and He will replenish your pockets abundantly. We won’t take the love for granted.”
