Oyo State government has announced the first COVID-19 patient delivery at the Olodo Infectious Disease Centre at Olodo on Friday, 3rd July 2020.
In a statement by the Oyo State Governor and the Chairman Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, Engineer Seyi Makinde, he stated that the mother and the baby are doing well.
According to Governor Makinde, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for nineteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE which make the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to be one thousand, four hundred and fifty-one (1451).
He further gave the break down of the cases according to their local government to be from Ibadan South East (3), Ibadan North (3), Akinyele (3), Lagelu (2), Oluyole (2), Ibadan North West (2), Egbeda (1), Ido (1), Ona Ara (1) and Oyo East (1) Local Government Areas.
The Governor also listed that the state had two COVID-19 related that which make the total of deaths in Oyo State to be fourteen.
