The Honourable Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun has called out the Motor Park Management including market men and women as well as general public attitudes towards COVID-19 preventive protocols.

In a phone conversation with Mayor Isaac Brown “COVID-19 Situation Room” on Fresh FM on Monday, Dr. Olatunbosun raised alarm on how the passengers especially have not been taking necessary precautionary measures, courtesy of the members of the park managers.

According to him, government officials met the park management task force where there was an agreement to adhere strictly to the preventive measures but to his dismay, none has been implemented.

“Reports from our markets are not encouraging at all. The market places are too porous that one would think coronavirus has vanished to thin air with the way the Covid-19 rules are being violated.

“It is also said that our Micra drivers are not taking caution, they still carry two passengers at the front seat, the same thing applicable to the tricycle and bike riders too”.

Olatunbosun who later enjoined both the park managers and the passengers to all take cautions also seek total support for the government and that the notion that coronavirus is for rich should be erased in the minds of the doubting Thomas.
