The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has officially inaugurated the steering committees for its highly anticipated Youth Summit, with Oloye Abiola Oyeyemi appointed as the Chairman of the central Planning Committee.
The inauguration, inaugurated by the State Youth Leader, Prince John Oyetunji Aremu, at the party’s State Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, sets the stage for a pivogathering aimed at shaping the political trajectory of the party in the state.
The summit, themed “Oyo APC Today and Tomorrow,” is designed to serve as a crucial platform for introspection, strategy, and mobilization ahead of future electoral contests. While inaugurating the various sub-committees, Prince Aremu charged the members with the responsibility of delivering a highly impactful and meticulously coordinated event.
He emphasized that the summit must stand as a tangible demonstration of the party’s cohesion and its commitment to fostering future-driven leadership, reflecting the collective vision and strength of APC youths across the 33 local government areas.
Oloye Abiola Oyeyemi, In his response to the appointment, Oyeyemi expressed profound gratitude to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him and his team.
He acknowledged the enormity of the task ahead but was quick to voice his confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver.
“With teamwork, commitment, and a shared sense of purpose, we are poised to successfully deliver a summit that not only meets but exceeds expectations,” Oloye Oyeyemi stated.
He further issued a clarion call to all committee members, urging them to place the unity and progress of the APC at the very centre of their engagements.
“This summit must become a rallying point for all young progressives in Oyo State. It is an opportunity to strengthen our bonds, refine our vision, and present a formidable, united front,” he added.
Other team of heads of sub-committees includes Hon. Adeyemi Adeyinka (Finance), Oladimeji Abass (Contact and Mobilisation), Hon. Tope Oye-Alamu (Security), Hadjia Fatima Hassan (Entertainment), Akinleye Akinkunmi (Venue and Protocol), and Adesokan Fatai Azeez (Media and Publicity).
The Oyo APC Youth Summit is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025.
