Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Tuesday, 27th May 2020 has handed over the pacesetter Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Ijaiye to a Private company in a public-private partnership arrangement.
According to Makinde, Carboncor Road Technology Ltd will henceforth be in charge as concessionaires while the partnership generates funds for government, create jobs for the people, and produce the asphalt needed for road projects in the state.
“This evening, I was pleased to symbolically handover the Pacesetter Quarry and Asphalt Plant, Ijaiye to a private company, Carboncor Road Technology Ltd as concessionaires in a public-private partnership arrangement with the Oyo State Government.
“This previously moribund quarry and asphalt plant which we visited on July 3, 2019, will now generate funds for the government and the concessionaire, create jobs for our people and also, produce the asphalt we need for road projects in the state.” He said
