LG Election: ATISBO PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Bashir Alade Gets Ago Are Community’s Endorsement

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade has been endorsed by the people of Ago Are community for the Chairmanship race of ATISBO local government area of Oyo state in the forthcoming local government election in the state.

Alade was endorsed during the annual general meeting of Ifelodun Ago Are Parapo, the umbrella body of Ago Are sons and daughters both home and in diaspora, last week.

In their seperate remarks, the Aare of Ago Are, Oba Dr Abodunrin Kofoworola Olakanla II and the community chairman, Engr. Ayo Adebayo admonished the congregation to support and work for the emergence of the PDP candidate, Alhaji Alade as chairman of ATISBO LG in the next local government election in Oyo State.

While speaking, the former Secretary to ATISBO local government area, Alade thanked the people of Ago Are for the confidence reposed in him since his days as student union leader.

His words: “I thank the people of Ago Are for the confidence reposed in me when I was the National President, Federation of Ago Are Students’ Union (FASU) and Secretary to the ATISBO LG.

“I want to assure you of my commitment to the unity and progress of Ago Are. By the grace of God, I will work with Kabiyesi, Aare and other traditional rulers for the peace and development of ATISBO local government in general.”

Earlier, while introducing the PDP candidate to the people of Ago Are, a former lawmaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Honourable Barr. Ayobami Ojo appreciated and advised the people to bury their differences and rally round their son to become next elected chairman of the council area.

Ayobami Ojo promised to enroll five hundred sons and daughters of Ago Are community under the Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme (OYSHIA) as beneficiaries which will cost him four million naira.

He also donated of one million naira for community development.
