Barr. Uduji Kingsley Godwin. felicitates with the His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians on Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration. The Former Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Enugu State, stated that this year’s democracy day celebration was an event worthy of praise as it marked 25 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria.
The APC Chieftain further encouraged the good people of Nigeria to be patient with this new administration. According to him, ‘the darkest night is just before dawn and as a woman travails greatly before the birth but rejoices at the sight of her new born baby, so will we all rejoice in the near future.’
He stated that democracy day is a time to make introspective appraisal of our system of government and what could be done better. We are not there yet, but we are gradually getting there.
He stated that, ‘Rome was not built in a day, many of the countries who we look towards in the practice of democracy have had hundreds of years of experience. Nigeria’s democracy is but an infant and it need time to grow.’
The nay sayers and detractors cannot stop our democracy, we will make Nigeria great.
