Barely 30days after the demise of the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade, the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has visited the family of the late monarch.
OYOMIND recalls that the Late Soun of Ogbomoso joined his ancestors on Sunday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 95 while his elder’s daughter died on Saturday, 8th January 2022, and was buried in Ilorin, a 20 minutes drive from Ogbomoso, yesterday.
Makinde, upon the death of the monarch, had shunned visitation to any deceased family, an attitude he displayed when his successor, Late Governor Ajimobi died.
Although, one of the excuses given was that the families of the deceased never wrote the government to officially inform them.
Yet, the family of Asigangan of Igangan who also died after Soun was never visited by Governor Makinde.
Late Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi died 48years after he was enthroned.
